Electronics and Communication Engineering is at the core of every new advancement and deployment of information technology in lifestyle and business. ECE is the most versatile and comprehensive engineering discipline covering core electronics technology, devices, communication and computing networks, and the integration of all of these into easy-to-use gadgets, machines, and services. Students in this course develop skills in exciting and hot areas like IoT, M2M, Blockchain. Students have a wide career opportunity in industry, research, services; or they can launch their own start-ups (Atria Business Incubation Centre opportunity).

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2000 . The present UG intake is 180 and the department also offers M.Tech. in Artifical Intelligence & Machine Learning with an intake of 24. The department has well-qualified faculty members and it offers subjects relevant to current industrial needs. Our faculty brings state-of-the-art research, development and design experience into the classroom. The department is equipped with adequate classrooms, department library, multiple laboratories, seminar hall and conference hall. Students have a wide career opportunity in industry, research, services; or they can launch their start-ups (Atria Business Incubation Centre opportunity). Over the years, the graduating students have gone on to occupy key positions in education, science, industry and government administration in India and abroad. In the future, the department plans to extend its research into new areas like Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, Internet of Things and Smart Devices.

  • Department has FUSE Student Society which conducts various technical/non-technical activities such as paper presentation, poster presentation, the seminar on the latest technologies for the exposure of students.
  • Conducting guest lectures by industry and academic experts is a regular practice followed by the department.
