MCA plays an all pervasive role in the application of technological advances to varied disciplines in Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities. AIT established new Department under its umbrella Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in 2022. The course Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and Approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi. The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure for teaching-learning, research and consultancy.
The MCA is a demanding two-year programme designed to produce leaders in the IT industry and profession. Continuous technological advancements have resulted an explosion in the variety and nature of computer applications. The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme prioritises the development of business applications over programming and learning other concepts. This is accomplished through the University's integrated curriculum, and the inclusion of projects improves students' technical orientation, understanding of the IT environment, and domain knowledge. The course provides students with an appropriate platform help them to become successful software professionals.
Programming domains such as C, C++,J ava, Data Structure and Algorithms, Operating System, Database Management Systems, and Computer Networking ensure that students have a firm foundation in technical fundamentals. It also prepares them for further study in their field of interest. Python, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning courses provide the IT professional with the necessary business perspective.
The electives allow students to broaden and deepen their knowledge in areas of personal interest. The AIT-MCA programme also encourages students to expertise in industry ready Add On courses like, Cloud Computing and Information Security, Full stack development, so that students excel their skills to develop and work on top platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
Students are also trained in soft skills to enhance their overall personality, so that they can choose their career in areas like, Software Devlopment, Data Scientist, Hardware Engineer, System Analyst, IT Architect, Web Designer, Software consultant etc.
